The so called ‘Mustang’ system has been developed over the years by a Company called ARP Ltd who are based in Leicester. The system at present, is only available in the 125mm system (domestic).
There are two forms of criteria that determine a ‘Mustang’ system from a standard system, these are:
Mustang System

|
Must have polycarbonate Mustang gutter fittings. Internal and external corners, stop ends and expansion joints. In addition and although 0.7mm coil is available, 0.9mm must be used to achieve ‘Mustang’ status (see picture below)
Covered by the ‘British Board of Agrément’ Certificate |
| Standard System |
Contractors fitting the standard system will normally use 0.7mm coil and cheaper aluminium strip mites/box corners that are pop riveted on together with aluminium stop ends that are crimped on. |
Don’t be misled, the standard system is still a highly superior form of rainwater disposal when compared to the various plastic gutter systems on the market today, Polypipe and Terrain excepted.
